Overview of Affiliate Marketing.

With the age of the internet, YouTube, Twitch and other streaming services we have now a group of influencers, who have a following of a fan base that trust them. So, we can work with influencers to review your product to an already made target audience that fit your profile.

“Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s (or company’s) products. You find a product you like, promote it to others and earn a piece of the profit for each sale that you make.” (Flynn, 2020)

Luckily, I know a youtuber who makes a living playing games with over million subscribers. This could be a marketing strategy that I can use to help to promote my game. Him and I can sit down and chat about my game and let him do a play through and he can upload on his channel and this would get amazing coverage. This was would be a very low cost to me.

Costs and Expenses.

The cost of Affiliate Marketing can change dramatically, these influencers don’t work for free but sometimes a freebee can cover the cost and if you can give them a game code for free copies of games that pass them on to three followers that can help them with views. (Chapple, 2020)
